Anti-reflective (AR) coatings are an excellent way to improve transmission, reduce glare and improve readability. API’s anti-reflection filters offer excellent transmission, durability and clarity. Our coatings also have an anti-smudge layer to reduce fingerprints.

Our anti-reflective coatings reflect less than .7% per side and have a hardness of 3H for durability. Our AR films are composed of a substrate (PET), a scratch resistant hard coating, the multi-layer AR coating and an anti-smudge layer. API can laminate the AR film directly onto acrylic or polycarbonate.

API can also provide acrylic with an anti-reflective coating directly deposited on a hard coated acrylic substrate. This is a slightly higher performance product with a visible light reflectance of only .5% per side.
