API’s polymer based near infrared (NIR) polarizers are great cost effective solutions for low output NIR lasers, sensors, and IR attenuation applications.

We offer two near infrared options:  3M HR and our new APIR29-030.

The HR is most effective from 1000nm to 2000nm. The APIR29-030 offers very high transmission and is effective from 400nm to 860nm and 1000nm to 1100nm.

Near infrared linear polarizers are idea for shutter and light control devices for IR lasers, LED and other infrared sources, photodetectors in non-visible security systems, infrared photography and cystallographic studies.
