Near IR (Infrared) Sensor Filters

API’s polymer based near infrared (IR) polarizers are the leading cost-effective solution for low-output NIR lasers, sensors, and SWIR attenuation applications. Our APIR29-020 offers very high transmission and is effective from 400-760 nanometers (visible) and 760-2200 nanometers (NIR). The near IR APIR29-020 is an improved replacement for API’s previous APIR29-030 and 3M HR products.

Near infrared linear polarizers are ideal for shutter and light control devices for IR lasers, LED and other infrared sources, photodetectors in non-visible security systems, infrared photography and crystallographic studies.

  • Visible blocking and red passing IR transmitting optical filters
  • Cost effective solution
  • Polymer-based
  • Film, acrylic, and glass substrate options

Non-Polarized IR Passing Sensor Filters

API’s Near Infrared (IR) filters are an excellent choice for your sensor applications. Made from acrylic, our filters are specifically produced to improve signal to noise ratio in near IR applications. We offer three wavelength cutoffs to best meet our customer’s requirements: 570nm, 620nm and 760nm.

We can manufacture the near infrared (IR) filters to custom sizes and thickness, depending on your requirements. We can also provide a clear hard coating on the filters for scratch and chemical resistance.

Near Infrared (IR) filters are used in the following applications: proximity sensors, scanners, motion sensors and
remote controls

Near IR (Infrared) Linear Polarizer

Our polymer based near infrared (NIR) polarizer is a great cost effective solution for your product.

Our APIR29-020 is effective not only in the visible from 400-760 nanometers but also in the near infrared from 760 to 2000 nanometers.

This is an improved replacement for 3M’s/Polaroid’s HR near IR linear polarizer. Near infrared linear polarizers are ideal for shutter and light control devices for IR lasers, LED and other infrared sources, photodetectors in non-visible security systems, infrared photography and crystallographic studies.

  • Visible 400-760nm and NIR 760-2000nm
  • Can be laminated between acrylic or glass
  • Cost effective quality
  • Polymer based
