American Polarizers Inc’s stock filters give customers a cost-effective way to get a linear polarizer, circular polarizer or wave plate already cut to a common size, without paying for a custom cutting run. This is a good fit when your application matches one of our standard dimensions. They’re also a great way to evaluate the performance of our materials firsthand before committing to a custom order or larger production quantity, so you can confirm that the transmission, extinction ratio, and overall optical quality meet your needs before scaling up. No, stock sizes are just a convenient starting point. All our filters are cut in-house, using laser cutting for film and acrylic and waterjet cutting for glass, so we can produce almost any custom size or shape you need. Our in-house cutting capability includes six laser cutters and two waterjet machines on site, capable of holding tight tolerances on parts as large as 40″ x 24″. We also offer a range of material thicknesses for our acrylic and glass laminates beyond our stock offerings. For a custom size or thickness, please reach out to us directly.

Large-volume orders are exactly where American Polarizers Inc’s production really shines. Because we manufacture large panels of material and then laser or waterjet cut individual filters directly from those panels, we can scale production efficiently without the lead times or added cost that come with outsourcing cutting to a third party or individually laminating optical components.
